Softwares you might want to try:
1. Ad-Aware by Lavasoft
2. Zonealarm Security Suite ( I recommend this, and I will explain to you why later)
3. Free online virus scan (http://housecall.trendmicro.com)
There you go 3 solutions to get rid of the spywares and adwares that's been slowing down your machine!
Story:
Today i got a call from my auntie, monthly she has problems regarding their office computers. I am their techie guy or whaterver you call it. The most common problem is spyware and adwares, of course they don't really understand that, but I will explain to you readers how you get spywares
You get spywares by:
1. Surfing porn sites.
2. Surfing sites with javascript enabled.
3. Downloading from Peer to Peer Clients.
4. Just leaving your internet on without firewall.
My Recommendations:
1. Download Zonealarm Security suite
I really recommend this product because it has a spyware cleaner and antivirus, the firewall though is the best function.
2. Scan your machine using online scanners at least monthly, i recommend Trend Micro's Housecall.
